Welcome! If you are new to Richmond Natural Medicine, please follow these steps to better assist you with making your initial appointment with us. We look forward to seeing you soon.

  1.  To schedule your appointment, you can call our office at (804) 977-2634 during our scheduled hours or request an appointment below and we will do our best to meet your request. Please be aware that we require a $100 non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. If you still have questions about which practitioner or service at RNM may best suit you or your condition, please call our office for more information. When contacting our office  please have the following information available:
    • Name
    • DOB
    • Phone Number
    • Email Address
    • Credit Card information (Number, Expiration date, Security Code & Billing Zip)
    • Chief health concern
  2. Once you have scheduled your appointment,  our staff will email the appropriate intake forms to complete and bring with you to your appointment. You can also access these intake forms here. If you have any questions, our front desk staff is available to assist you.
  3. Please complete and bring all your paperwork to your appointment.  If you require assistance in completing paperwork please arrive 45 minutes prior to your appointment. 4. Kindly allow enough time for traffic so that you can arrive relaxed and on time for your scheduled appointment. We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes prior to your appointment time.
  4. Additionally, bring to your appointment or email to our office all supporting medical records including any lab work that relates to your health concern(s).
  5. Cancellation Policy: Please understand your appointment time is reserved for you.  We recognize there may be occasions when you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.  If you need to make any changes to your appointment for any reason, we require a minimum of 24-hour advanced notice to avoid a missed appointment fee of $100 for all followups, and $100 for all new patient appointments.  We appreciate your understanding regarding this policy.

Unfortunately, we do not accept insurance for payment of our services. naturopathic medicine is not covered by health insurance in Virginia at this time. The current medical model does not fully recognize the strengths of preventative holistic medicine. Steps are currently being taken here in Virginia and across the country to give more recognition to naturopathic medicine. You may check with your insurance company to see if they offer out-of-network coverage for alternative or complementary care. Fortunately, those individuals with a HSA (health savings account) or FSA (flexible spending accounts) are often able to use these plans toward naturopathic care. In these cases, we can provide you with necessary paperwork and itemized receipts. You should check with your HSA or FSA Provider for more information and specific rules.Some insurers in Virginia will cover acupuncture, and in these cases will will again provide necessary paperwork for reimbursement. Contact your provider for more information.
It depends on each client and their specific condition. We cannot offer specific numbers due to the fact that each individual responds differently to treatment. We have seen varying results based on how closely patients follow the care plan set up for them by their practitioner. Each patient will see varying degrees of results based on their individual needs and commitment to achieving good health.
We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. You must give notice 24-hours prior to your appointment that you would like to cancel or reschedule. You can reach us via voicemail, email, or by speaking to a representative in the office. In the event that 24-hours notice is not given to cancel or reschedule a follow up visit, we charge a $75 insufficient notice fee. Should you need to reschedule your initial appointment and you aren’t able to provide a 24 hour notice then you will forfeit your $100 deposit and will need to make a new deposit if you would like to book again in the future.
Your initial appointment will be an in-depth review of your past and present medical history. Over the course of two hours, your practitioner will aim to obtain a full overview of who you are and what your needs are during this time. You can expect a discussion that looks beyond your presenting symptoms to the overall picture of your health, in order to best determine the best possible treatment for you. Your practitioner will inquire about your long-term expectations while working with our clinic, as well as considering your current lifestyle choices and habits. The lengthy appointments are just the nature of comprehensive holistic medicine.
