Tao Yin Floor Qigong
This is a FOUR CLASS SERIES
Date(s): Aug. 8, 15, 22, 29 (4 Mondays)
Time: 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm
Cost: $50Class Description: The slow, gentle, guided movements of Tao Yin, performed while lying on the floor on a yoga mat, are a different way of doing Qigong. They are suitable for most anyone. Tao Yin focuses on the internal alchemy of the body and on the Chinese Five Elements (Fire, Earth, Metal, Water and Wood), which correlate to our vital organs and meridian energy flows. It also serves to develop flexibility and strength in the whole spine and in the Psoas muscles deep within the lower back. Students receive an enjoyable, stress-relieving, muscle-relaxing weekly class. Content is mostly the same week-to-week so that one learns how to release stress more easily, and the spine and Psoas muscles become stronger and more flexible over time.
Richmond Natural Medicine is happy to have Joy Black as a practitioner and an instructor. She offers Medical Qigong and Energy Work therapies including Chi Nei Tsang, Healing Touch, Reiki, and more.
