From Dr. Leah Hollon:

“As a young woman, I became fascinated by the intricacy of the human body and more importantly the interconnection of the mind, body, and spirit.  Although I respected medicine, I realized that something was missing. People with chronic illnesses were not really getting better and little was being done to prevent many diseases. Prevention was often not occurring until there was a diagnosis. I began searching for the most optimal healthcare model of prevention and healing. At this point, an MD friend introduced me to naturopathic medicine and I immediately realized I had found my life passion. I love naturopathic medicine and being a Naturopathic Doctor and I feel grateful to have found a career that fulfills me and allows me to help others. I’ve partnered with my husband, Peter Ross to create Richmond Natural Medicine (RNM). RNM exists to provide a compassionate integrative environment to foster healing.

It is important to remember that healing isn’t in a pill or surgery, but inside of us. They are tools that can interrupt worsening health or even help stabilize one’s health. But we are the healers of our lives. After years of suffering, it can be easy to forget that there is another way and that something else might exist. But it does. Many individuals that I work with have suffered for a long time. And by the time they get to me, they have extreme symptoms and even rare symptoms that have been disregarded because it doesn’t fit into modern medical textbooks. Regardless of your condition, your body is trying to tell you something. It is trying to communicate and our job is to listen. Thus my role is to foster what the body is trying to communicate and help shift your health into a newly empowered state of living.”

Testimonials

“I believe, as do others in my family that were it not for the intervention and treatment by Dr. Leah Hollon, my father, not only would not have had the quality of life he has enjoyed, but most likely would not be with us. This is not only my belief, but based on research on the disorder my father has, he has lived three years past the life expectancy of the disorder all ready and after chats by phone with other family who have a loved one with this disorder, the only difference in treatment is the intervention by our Naturopathic Doctor.”

“Having helped hundreds of patients feel more at ease in their bodies, their minds and in their lives, Leah is a naturally gifted clinician and healer. She is also one of the most passionate people I have ever met, and is dedicated to enhancing the health of individuals and the community at large. I have grown so much from my work with her, both as a fellow colleague and as someone I trust with my own health care. Her waiting list speaks for itself!”

“I came to Dr. Leah because I was looking for an alternative to the traditional medical treatment I had received which was constant prescriptions without any conclusive diagnosis for the root of my problems. I wanted a professional with natural health expertise. Dr. Leah’s credentials and experience gave me confidence to try this new way of evaluating my health. After my first conversation with her it was evident her methods of investigating my struggles was going to help me find relief. She asked so many good questions to help us both pull apart the years and layers of my issues. I felt very safe about trying new homeopathic and vitamin and nutrient measures. At least with this process my overall health was improving as we tried to reach a cure for main concern, which was severe depression of 15 years that lead to a very dark period of suicidal thoughts. Dr. Leah was the lifeline that helped me hold while I found a mental health practitioner to find the right drug match. The healing has been dramatic and had it not been for Dr. Leah’s intervention I would have never been able to make the connections needed for my ultimate healing. I am a firm believer in Naturopathic medicine because it is gentle healing to treat the whole body and it perfectly compliments other types of healthcare. It will always be a necessary part of my preventative healthcare and where I turn first when other problems arise.”
